Stephen trained at sea before joining the founding management that ran OTAL a specialist West Africa liner shipping, logistics and terminal operations company for 20 years.

He also has 20 years of experience running CMR, a specialist consultancy focused on the Maritime, Ports, Supply Chains, Trade, and African markets.

At rtiForensics he was involved in the pilot program that developed ISO 28000, 28007, the standards for the provision of armed guards on ships.

His portfolio of 150 experts provides business development, risk and safety management, technical consultancy, and expert witnesses for dispute resolution.

His recent work includes reputation, markets, and technical due diligence, for investors of terminals in China, South America, and Southern Africa. He has worked on projects in 19 African countries.
