The 2022 World Ports Conference brings together leading port stakeholders in a new format to #ClosetheGaps in global seaport competitiveness, setting an agenda to raise the performance of the world’s major port regions. The conference opening session will set the scene for a full programme of live in-person discussions about the indispensable that ports play in global maritime trade.
The parallel regional breakfast meetings will take stock of the findings of the regional pre-conference workshops, discussing critical factors to improve the competitiveness of ports in wider maritime supply chains. Led by the IAPH regional Vice-Presidents, the breakfast meetings will also include a presentation on IAPH's Environmental Ship Index (ESI) and provide an informal platform for members to share suggestions for the IAPH work programme. The sessions are open to interested non-members.
This session will address the increasing strategic importance of and interest in investing in port property and current challenges faced by ports in optimising their financial performance, with an emphasis on the latter.
