The Climate and Energy committee will be addressing the recent developments at IMO regarding the decarbonization of shipping and will be preparing the respective IAPH input to the 78th session of the IMO Marine Environment and Protection Committee. The committee will be further reflecting on ongoing work related to further externalities of shipping, such as underwater noise and marine litter. As always, the Committee will be reviewing the progress of the IAPH working groups on Environmental Ship Index and Clean Marine Fuels and will be coordinating IAPH contribution to all major ongoing initiatives by other parties on decarbonisation.
